Responsibilities

• Sand and prepare raw wood and painted instrument bodies and necks for polishing and final finish.
• Perform detailed hand and machine sanding between coats of paint and clear finishes.
• Inspect work for surface imperfections, ensuring a flawless finish.
• Assist with buffing, polishing, and other aspects of the finishing process and repairs as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in finish sanding is a must (ie. automotive, woodwork, etc)
• Strong attention to detail and steady hands. The ability to inspect for minor imperfections and adhering to processes.
• Ability to work efficiently and precisely in a team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced production setting with tight quality standards.
• Position requires utilization of hand and powered tools. Must have experience with multiple sand paper grades, a palm sander, precision drilling with hand held drill, drill press, soldering iron, and dust collection system.
