Victor Wooten Yin Yang Deluxe Series III

The Yin Yang Deluxe Series III features the combination (selected by Victor) of a chambered Walnut body under a spalted Maple top, along with a White Oak neck and Ebony fingerboard. This combination delivers deep yet articulate lows along with presence and clarity in the upper register, plus the body chambering gives just the right amount of “air” to the overall sound.

While spec'ing the Series III, Victor opted to use a set of proprietary Dual Coil pickups which were designed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan. Our passive Dual Coil pickups are wired in parallel to provide a noise-free punchy, focused J pickup tone with smooth upper mids and a more present low midrange. However, they come with the added flexibility of being able to be switched to full single-coil mode for the vintage sound of a traditional set of single-coil J pickups.

he electronics section of the Series III is rounded out by our Custom Series 3-band preamp. The latest version of our preamp, manufactured by Trickfish, offers an even lower noise floor than before, longer battery life, and easily configurable features. Because of the tremendous amount of detailed work that goes into crafting this model, the Yin Yang Deluxe Series is available as a direct order only and we limit production to 6 per year, so this is a rare opportunity to acquire one without the wait.
